Welcome to my professional tarot practice which has 'organically' developed over 4 decades through a variety of card and psychic readings. I grew up in a 'psychic, spiritual and mediumistic' home. So, when about 40 years ago I began 'fortune-telling' for others using a standard deck of playing cards, while a little surprising at the time, also seemed completely natural. 'Reading the cards' not only proved to be very entertaining at social gatherings, but gave truthful and life-affirming 'suggestions' to all types of questions.
In the mid-1980's I picked up a deck of B.P. Grimaud's 1969 The Tarot of Marseilles, France, discovered the Major Arcana and the archetypes these represent; and a better way to interpret life's prickly situations with card-readings. A decade later, Pamela-Coleman-Smith’s (The Rider Deck Registered to U.S. Games) amazing, artistic interpretations of the full deck of 78 tarot cards exploded into my life; making The Rider Deck my chosen method for tarot readings. I have been a member of the Tarot Guild of Australia since 2008; taking up Professional membership and an active role T.G.A. in 2011. From 2011 to 2014 as the T.G.A.s Group Coordinator in Adelaide I ran their monthly meet-up workshops. I also wrote regularly for the T.G.A.'s The Magician Magazine. My column was called - Life in Reversals - and in it the many advantages, methods and aspects of reading reversed tarot cards, were discussed. In addition, in 2014 - 2016, I was the Editor of The Magician. I presented two original tarot workshops - Tarot-Chakra Readings for Well-being - and - Defining Your Life's Purpose with Tarot - at the International Tarot Conferences held in Melbourne in 2013 and 2015. In 2016, I was T.G.A.'s Vice-President and in 2016-2017 was the Professional Membership Transition Coordinator having been a panel member of the Transition team since 2014.
Reading tarot has developed into my very favourite method to uncover what is obscure, unknown or confounding. A tarot reading can broaden and deepen the understanding you have of your current circumstances, relationships or difficulties; thus giving you a feeling of more control and greater confidence over your future, personal potential and of possibilities that may be just 'around the corner'. Reading tarot increases awareness and clarity. In times of uncertainty and stress, this type of intuitive insight and guidance can prove very satisfying.
I enjoy sharing knowledge and ideas that assist others to improve their circumstances, to expand their horizons and to become successful in their own way. From the early 1980’s I had my own business and worked as a personnel manager for a private company. After starting our family, I became a professional counsellor and educator/WPT&A for business, industry RTO’s, a variety of government departments and for tertiary and community-based organisations. In the past 10 years I have been teaching and tutoring tarot and have provided a link to some of my certifications and qualifications that show my professional ethics in-practice. Throughout my working life I have seen how uncertainty leads to worry, pain and fear and this, to a sense of hopeless or helpless; which often results in a loss of personal insight and self-confidence. When we fall into the habit of doubting ourselves we second-guess our decision-making ability. Many fall into a rut from where it is a struggle ‘to climb out’.
The tarot images are like an echo or mirror of what is happening in our lives. Cards are drawn in a response to your thoughts and questions; each card can reveal the reason, source, cause, remedy or solution to your situation; or other helpful information and insights. In this way, my tarot readings offer you ‘a bigger picture’ of your circumstances by visually outlining the influences at play. (As they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words!) As your story starts to take shape, your self-assurance returns and you feel better!
I am happy to now offer secure over-the-phone-readings and online readings to Australian clients, giving you greater flexibility when booking a reading. Please book a reading, in the normal way, through the contact form.
In 2018 I will be delivering Tarot and Lenormand classes through the Adelaide W.E.A. in Angus Street. For on-going information on workshops over the coming year, you may wish to check my tarot blog for updates.
Thank you for visiting...please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and have a great day!
All my best,
